Ben Ingram

Ingram Maintenance is run by Ben Ingram from a base on Chapel Lane in Coppull, just outside Chorley. There is no call centre and no service desk. When you ring the number on the van, Ben answers it, and Ben is the one who does the work.

His own description of the business is short and accurate: a mobile mechanic catering for all your maintenance needs on a wide range of equipment. In practice that means a greenkeeper's triple mower one morning and a householder's walk-behind mower the next, with compact tractors, coaches and welding jobs filling the gaps.

How The Business Works

Everything happens at your address. The Transit carries the tools, spares and welding kit needed to finish most jobs in one visit, which means machinery stays on site and grounds teams are not left a machine short for a fortnight.

Quotes are given up front over the phone or WhatsApp. You tell Ben the make, model and what the machine is doing, and he tells you what it will cost and when he can come.

Why The Reviews Matter To Him

Ben tracks his review count publicly and talks about it openly. In May he posted that the business had reached 74 reviews across Google and Facebook, set himself a target of 100 by the end of summer, and explained why he cares.
